Celebrating 35 Years of Service

Residential & Support Services Inc. (RSS), founded in 1974, is a private non-profit organization that provides residential and community support to individuals with developmental and other disablities including mental retardation, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and traumatic brain injuries.

RSS provides a wide variety of services to children and adults in home based and community settings include:

How RSS is Funded

RSS's annual budget exceeds $7 million, with over 88 percent of those funds directly supporting programs. Funding sources include The State of North Carolina, Mechlenburg County, The Division of Medical Assistance, Teh Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), foundataions, businesses and individual donors.
