Community Outreach serves children and adults who participate in the CAP-MR/DD or Innovations Waiver programs (Medicaid). Currently, RSS provides services in Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus, Rowan, Stanly, Davidson, Gaston, Lincoln, and Cleveland counties. Waiver services are designed to provide quality care to children and adults with developmental disabilities who are at risk of becoming institutionalized. Person-centered, one-to-one support is provided in a variety of locations including the individual’s home, care provider’s home, or community.
