RSS manages one and two-bedroom condominiums in Charlotte that were financed through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 811 program for individuals with developmental disabilities. All applicants must meet HUD’s low-income guidelines.
Rent, which includes all utilities except cable and telephone, is equal to one-third of the tenant’s income. Staff support and supervision are not provided as a condition of occupancy for these units. However, support may be obtained through RSS or other area resources.
There is a waiting list for these condominiums. Interested individuals may be added to the waiting list by requesting an application from the RSS office, 704-536-6661.
