Over 100 individuals volunteer with RSS every year. Individuals and community groups help with a wide range of projects and activities, such as assisting the group homes with landscaping or cleaning, planning parties and special projects, and taking individuals to events in the community. Volunteers also help with the annual Dream Maker Luncheon, and serve on the RSS Board of Directors and First In Families Management Team. One-day and long-term projects are available. Possible volunteer projects include:
- Coordinate a party, dinner or movie night at a group home
- Teach a craft/share a hobby (such as scrapbook making, painting, knitting, baking or writing poetry)
- Take a group to a community activity, such as bowling
