What has the Self Determination Project done for you?

They helped me open some doors to show people who I really am. Curtis helped me get to where I am in school and with the children’s theatre. I got to meet different people. I think it’s a great thing; I’m glad I’m able to do all this.

What do you want people to know about the Self Determination Project?

Don’t think it is hard… it can be fun. Before the project I was working on what I wanted to get done and to get into more classes. Nobody would take me. Now I found a good buddy, companion, got into the classes I wanted and am volunteering. I feel wonderful. I feel like I can do it, I just needed the right connections.

Changes
When I see the rain falling I can hear the spirit calling out to Thee.
It covers the hate with a loving heart.
It goes to those who left them to sorrow.
It fights against the spirit of hate with the loving spirit that glows.
It speaks out to one and all and says all that we need is love.
